Kindermusik Image That! Class
Kindermusik® Imagine That! Class
Ages: 3½ to 5 years old

Imagine That! takes you and your child on a musical journey of discovery and exploration…a journey limited only by the power of imagination. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child’s potential to learn and to encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality.

Kindermusik Imagine That! is designed for active, energetic, enthusiastic, and imaginative preschoolers and encourages socialization, sharing, and participating in group activities. Singing becomes a focus for enhancing the preschooler's vocal development as her expressive language is just beginning to emerge. Parents are invited to participate in Sharing Time, the last 15 minutes of each 45-minute class. Each ImagineThat term includes sixteen class sessions.

Benefits for Your Child and You
  • Nurtures your child's imagination and creativity.
  • Creates a learning environment that integrates music, expressive language, peer interaction and pretend play.
  • Challenges your child through activities that promote problem-solving, making choices and expressing ideas.
  • Allows your child to have an active role in the development of music and movement activities.

Enjoy the Journey All Week Long
Kindermusik is much more than a weekly class. And your At Home materials you receive from your educator are just the tools you need to continue that one-of-a-kind experience together as a family. While we plant the seeds of learning through music in the classroom, you will use the At Home materials at home to cultivate lifelong learning.

Family involvement in your child’s learning is a fundamental cornerstone of the Kindermusik philosophy because we believe the parent is the child’s most important teacher and the home is the most important place for a child’s learning to take root and grow. After all, there’s no better way to nurture your child’s development – and you’ll love doing it together – every day!

See What I SawSee What I Saw
In this 15-week semester, your preschooler uses his real experience playing in the park to create imaginative, story-telling scenarios with music. Each week provides your preschooler one uninterrupted session of imaginative play that's guided in a very specific, sequential way—with a special Family Sharing Time with you in the last 15 minutes of class. At Home Materials include a Double CD, Family Activity Book, "Grasshopper Park" play set, a slide whistle instrument, two beautifully-illustrated storybooks and a backpack.

Home Materials: Two books—Michael Finnigan and Hurry Home, Little Kittens, Hello Weather Play Set, Two Home CDs, Family Activity Book, and Instruments—ankle bells and rain shaker with scraper.

Cities! Busy Places~Friendly FacesCities! Busy Places~Friendly Faces
"People on the go, rushing everywhere - in the city!" Meet the Busy Places and Friendly Faces of Cities! – the unit where we will co-create a city that is familiar, yet like no other-- a city that is really many "cities" in one. There's a city of music of songs, recorded works and city sounds. There's a city of the imagination, of three- and four-year-olds being whoever they imagine themselves to be today: a broom man, or maybe an opera singer. There's a city of stories - of lost dogs and found dogs and of a globe-trotting photographer. Best of all, in this unit children from all kinds of communities will find commonalities with their lives. Specially designed Kindermusik Resonator Bars are the featured instruments in the At Home materials. In addition to the resonator bars, At Home materials will include two CDs, two literature books, a Home Activity book, and a Game Board with Game pieces.
