I have spent my entire adult life teaching young children in the public school setting. Graduating from Huntington College in Indiana, I also hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and an Education Specialist Degree from Lincoln Memorial University. I recently retired after spending the last 23 years of my career teaching kindergarten, where I integrated music into the curriculum as one means of reinforcing basic skills. I believe in the Kindermusik philosophy:
- Every parent is the child's most important teacher.
- Every child is musical.
- The home is the most important learning environment.
- Music nurtures a child's cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development.
I invite you to visit one of my classes and begin your musical journey through the world of Kindermusik®.
